A Path for Green Cities

Regardless of the initiative, a Green city program often comes down to bravado and good ideas that have only modest impact. More than touting Green roofs, recycling programs, or planting tree; why not turn to an established group to organize an effective Green city program that is populated with Green buildings.

There is a clear path for a fundamental Green cities program. If the janitorial services were to follow the training and protocols of the Green Clean Institute, almost immediately a large portion of the city’s buildings would make strides that also impact worker health, but lowers the impact of pollutants in the community.

Rather than start a new initiative, promote participation, and spend money and time to push an idea that has limited success; take t look as what could be the most affordable and effective Green buildings program in the country.

By enlisting are janitorial or cleaning services into a core concept, the concept is ready-made, active, and constructive.

Areas Impacted by the Cleaning Service:

  1. Trash and recycling of trash

  2. Cleaning products that are flushed into waterways

  3. Pesticides and Chemical Fragrances

  4. Volatile Organic Compounds

  5. Systematic Air Monitoring

  6. Dust, chemical residue, allergens

Local cleaning or janitorial services are routinely in all area buildings, it makes a world of good sense to enlist and develop the cleaning services to upgrade the Green and Sustainable services for buildings. After all, the thousands of workers in those buildings are the immediate beneficiaries of an eco-safe and healthy building.

In the larger picture, the waste treatment, water pollution from chemical products, and health concerns for the community are made better by going to the source.

We encourage community or city leadership to communicate with the Green Clean Institute to discover how simple, affordable, and practical a Green city program can be using our proven system.
